The Ex Who Came Back by Daniel Hurst

[Synopsis] Your biggest mistake is your sister’s new boyfriend. The moment I see him, my stomach drops. It’s Mateo. My secret ex. I thought I’d escaped him. But now the man of my nightmares is standing right in front of me. His cold green eyes meet mine, and I grab my little boy tightly to my chest. I can’t believe this is happening. I think about the last time I saw him… and all the secrets I’ve kept since.
How did he find me and my family?

[Review] I had high hopes for this new release because I've enjoyed plenty of other books by Daniel Hurst. This one, not so much. Did Corinne not have one single person in her life she could talk to about this? Honestly, all she had to do was admit to sleeping with Mateo but say it was a long time ago, before she met her husband. That would have deflated him and/or exposed him to her sister. The resolution of the plot was cartoonish, as was the Seth character. Hate to be so harsh, but I expected better from this author. Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for granting me access to this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
